Ferrari 458 Spider

2011 Ferrari 458 Italia Spider

The stunning new 2010 458 Italia supercar,Ferrari's
replacement for the outgoing F430, was just revealed to the world a few months ago, but already Ferrari is thought to be working on an open-top version of its latest supercar, previewed here in this latest computer generated rendering. Today reports from Italy are claiming the Spider is now more than mere speculation.

Likely to be called the 458 Italia Spider, according to the reports Luca di Montezemolo has confirmed the Spider's development, though it won't be built until about two years after the hard-top's delivery begins in January, which pegs its release for sometime in early 2012.

While Ferrari has a adopted a folding hard-top roof for its most recent convertiblemodel, the California, the 458 Italia Spider is likely to retain the lightweight soft-top roof seen on the F430 Spider and high-performance Scuderia 16M.

Apart from the roof and some chassis reinforcements, the 458 Italia Spider should be identical to its hard-top sibling, which means power will come from a 4.5-liter V-8 engine rated at 570 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque and sending torque to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Dimensions should remain at 4,527 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,213 mm in height, though weight will almost certainly be higher than the hard-top's 1,380 kg measurement.

Novitec Rosso Turns the Ferrari 458 Italia from a Machete into a Lightsabre

Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Italia front 3/4 view

While vast hordes of Ferrari owners positively quiver at the mere thought of altering their cars with any non-Ferrari parts ("I don't care that these floormats are 1/64th the price of the official ones! They aren't going in my baby!"), there are Prancing Horse trainers out there who look at their rides and say, “There is room for improvement.” For those sorts of people (though many Ferrari purists might deem the term “people” a bit too generous), tuner Novitec Rosso is there to take your money in exchange for making your Fezza even fiercer.

Meanwhile, back in Maranello, Ferrari has rolled out its latest V8, mid-engine model, the 458 Italia to rave review. And why not? It’ll blow the mightyF40 into the weeds, and go tit for tat with the Enzo. But could the Italia be made even stronger still? Is there any potential left to be tapped? Turns out, the answer is, “Hells yes.”

Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Italia rear 3/4 view

The heart of Novitec Rosso’s 458 Italia upgrade package consists of a high-flow carbon fiber airbox, high flow exhaust system, sport catalytic converter, and a reprogrammed ECU. The result is an extra 40 horsepower, for a total of 609hp. That might not seem like a big deal, in this day and age, but that power peak comes at 9,100 rpm, from a 4.5L normally-aspirated V8. How much you wanna bet that exhaust note resembles Satan on karaoke night (and we mean that in a good way; we have it on good authority that the Prince of Darkness has some serious pipes)?

But not all of Novitec Rosso’s upgrades are under the hood. The carbon fiber body kit, comprised of a new front air dam, side sills, rear spoiler and other pieces, was honed in the University of Stuttgart’s wind tunnel and aids the Novitec Rosso 458 Italia on its journey up to its 205 mph top speed. The roof is also reskinned in carbon fiber, and there are various bits and bobs of interior trim (including larger-than-stock shift paddles for thetwin-clutch 7-speed transmission) made of the stronger-than-steel composite, too.

Handling enhancements come courtesy of lightweight NF3 wheels from Novitec Rosso’s own catalog (9x21” in front, 12x22” out back) and sport springs that drop the ride height by some 1.4”. And in case you need the car’s nose to ride tall again for speedbumps, driveways and the like, a hydraulic front lift system elevates the schnoz by up to 1.6” to prevent chafing. Good thing, because there ain’t an ointment in the galaxy strong enough to relieve the discomfort associated with carbon fiber chafing…

Anyway, Novitec Rosso hasn’t said how much this package will cost, but if you can afford a 458 Italia, you shouldn’t have any trouble affording their upgrades. Unless your surname is Kadafi, in which case you might soon be boned on multiple fronts.

Future Ultimate Machine Ferrari 612 GTO
Unfortunately Ferrari 612 GTO is concept design and is not going to hit the road soon but not sure about future. Ferrari does not make a new GTO car very often, about one in two decade on average. So take spin and burn tyre with the latest Ferrari 599 GTO available in the Ferrari showroom next to your house.

Selipanov has not mentioned what might be done on Ferrari Scaglietti 612  5.7- liter V12 engine or indeed any other mechanical details, so its up to you to speculate but 600bhp engine is surely be the minimum requirement for Ferrari  612 GTO. And if any possibility exits for future ultimate machine Ferrari 612 GTO we have to wait for at least decade time to see one on road or in motor show.
For now let see the Ferrari 612 GTO pictures and feel how it will look if it on road.

That's Redonculous!: Underground Rim King's 2010 Chevy Camaro on 30-inch Floating Wheels [VIDEO]

Underground Rim King 2010 Camaro with 30

20's are so "2000 and late." If you wanna be a real player these days you gotta step up your game... And there's no better way to show that you have truly arrived than to slap a set of 30-inch floating dub wheels on your 2010 Camaro. Even if you can't turn and your brake calipers are overwhelmed by rotational mass, one can take great pride in having the ground clearance of a Hummer H2. We're all for a little show, but not when there's no go...

The self-proclaimed Underground Rim King has struck again with this stroke of muscle-car madness. Forget about the wheels for a minute; I can't fathom what a set of 275/25/ZR30 tires cost nor their useful life, which has got to be fleeting. Short of taking the car's sensors and sticking them in the 6th dimension, there's nothing like doing 55 mph while the speedometer shows 35 mph or having an odometer that's like 30% under. No accounting for taste... So, welcome to our first edition of "That's Redonculous!"
